This is a very old post of mine, from somewhere back in mid-4.0. I still think it's funny, even if you can't Vex the rogues now.
Note for the humor-impaired: This is *supposed* to be funny, and a little sarcastic. If any of it hits a bit too hard, you need to either improve your mental AC, buy some more emotional vita, or take a really good look at what you're doing, and why, and whose side the problem is really on.
1) Never hunt with a poet. They won't heal you, inspire you, ASV you, or even bother to remember your name. If you're really lucky, they *might* do some of the above for the fighters... most likely healing and inspiring them often enough so they can ka/zerk/ww constantly, and leaving them for you to heal.
2) Never hunt with a warrior. They can't take care of themselves. They whine how you're not as good as a poet when you're trying to heal them with your little 700 point Rejuv. They can't ambush over problems or persuade critters to move out of the way, so while everyone is waiting for the warrior to hack his way through traffic, some rogue bounces past and beats you to the boss room.
3) Never hunt with a rogue. Rogues @#$%$% bounce! They expect you to ASV them, heal them, and Vex and Para whatever they're hitting, and woe to you if instead you ASV the critter and Vex the rogue who's invisible and bouncing around like a berserk jumping bean. Nothing makes your day like being cussed out by some random patch of floor with an invisible (but Vexed and bleeding) rogue on it.
4) Never hunt with another mage. The only thing lamer than only being able to kill one critter every 35 seconds is standing behind a wall discussing music videos with another guy while you're *both* waiting on aethers for Hellfire. 'Nuff said.
5) Never hunt solo. If you can hit hard enough to kill anything worthwhile, you have so little vita that most critters can kill you in a couple of hits. If you have enough vita so they can't kill you, you have so little mana that you can't kill them either.
6) Hunt constantly. Warriors and rogues need to buy vita. Poets need to buy mana. Mages need tons of both. But... er ... ah ... um ... who can you hunt with?
