This is the page where I'm supposed to list several advanced degrees in English Literature, assorted professional publications, and of course an impressive string of Poetry Revel wins. I do have a few wins (First, two Seconds, and two Honorable Mentions) but that's pretty much it. The honest truth: I just like poetry, and I have some strong opinions (right or wrong) on what is poetry and what isn't. That, and quite a few satisfied Ee Sans among my previous students. So take what I write here for what it is: Just one person's opinion on what poetry is and how it should be written. Many people with a lot more letters after their name and a lot more pieces of paper to hang on their walls disagree with me. Still, I think I'm right. I'm stubborn that way. |
